King Arthur Flour to Host Whole-Grain Baking Class atThe Food and Wine Festival at National Harbor®
King Arthur Flour will share the art and joy of baking with whole grains at the Food and Wine Festival at National Harbor on Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18, 2008. The weekend event is an opening celebration for the new multi-use facility. Susan Miller, director of King Arthur Flour’s Baking Education Center in Norwich, Vt., will offer a 45-minute demonstration/lecture each day on “Going with the Grain: Overcoming the Challenges of Whole Grain Baking,” featuring recipes from the company’s latest cookbook, King Arthur Flour Whole Grain Baking. After each demonstration, Miller will sign copies of the book, of which she is a co-author. Demonstrations will be held at National Harbor on the Potomac River at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17; and at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, and are included with the cost of admission. King Arthur Flour will also exhibit at the show, offering bread samples baked fresh at the King Arthur Bakery in Norwich, Vt., as well as recipes and other materials on baking and whole grains.
